UTSC Fighting For Hope: A Lil' Inspiration
Hey all! :) HAPPY EASTER! <3
So, classes are finally over! Except for the remaining few that were supposed to be on Friday but moved to Monday. But it’s okay! Although, the feeling of studying is dreadful. But let’s be thankful, shall we. Thankful that we have this opportunity to be in school…

A Lil’ Inspiration
Hey all! :) HAPPY EASTER! <3
So, classes are finally over! Except for the remaining few that were supposed to be on Friday but moved to Monday. But it’s okay! Although, the feeling of studying is dreadful. But let’s be thankful, shall we. Thankful that we have this opportunity to be in school when so many can’t even if they wanted to. So smile! :D
Anywho, remember, this month is dedicated to Daffodils. Did you pick up one of yourself? I hope you did, it has a little foam thing at the end so it won’t poke you! Now that’s a plus. They represent hope for the fight against cancer. When you wear one, you’re showing those affected that you’re supporting them. So, I hope you get the chance to pick one up, they’d greatly appreciate it.
I am following the Canadian Cancer Society on twitter and they tweeted this fabulous video about a man who survived cancer and shows there is hope: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYzq0JjuBPk&feature=youtu.be
But never forget, being a part of this club emits hope all in itself. Just by joining us in spreading awareness about cancer, helping raise money for cancer research, and just showing them that we’re here to help, physically and spiritually, all those pull through the struggle of cancer, really is amazing. And for that, you should congratulate yourselves.
As this month is dedicated to Daffodils, it doesn’t end there. We should show support all year round - never stop fighting for hope!
Keep the hope alive, everyone!
Love, Emmy
Daffodil Days
Hello, again!
So, i’ve definitely been putting this blogging business on the back burner for a while… school’s been really beating me down with all the readings and finals coming up. I hope everyone is doing well and enjoyed some of our beautiful, warm weather! (:
March is ending and a major event that is happening to kick off April is Daffodil Days. If you were on campus today, you might’ve seen some people selling daffodil pins and daffodil flowers. The Canadian Cancer Society are selling these till April 1st and next week from April 12-15th. Unfortunately, they were only being sold in UTSC today, at least that is what I see on the schedule, but they are being sold all around Scarborough, Etobicoke, North York, and Downtown Toronto. You will most likely bump into many people from young to old helping out The Canadian Cancer Society with giving out the pins and collecting all the donations. If you want more information on this campaign, visit this site: http://www.daffodilday.com.au/
On another note, F4HOPE is working on donating arts and crafts and various inspirational buttons to Camp Oochigeas! Arts and crafts are something they really need, and the buttons are just extra, but I feel will be very enlightening to the children. I would love if those who are interested and have the time, to get together and shop for the various arts and crafts. Also, you can even help out by just sharing words of inspiration to put on the buttons, or any kind of artwork ideas to portray our support for them in their fight against cancer. Just email me at agomaa.em@gmail.com if you’re interested. (:
Good luck to everyone with their final assignments and exams. Don’t stress out too much and remember to laugh as much as you can each day! (:
Stay awesome!

Wattup, March!?
Hey fellow cancer fighters!
I hope everyone is doing well and are going to enjoy the amazing, spring like week we’ll be having. (: Asides from it mostly raining… enjoy it! So, it’s March, and this month is all about Colorectal Cancer Awareness and Nutrition Month! Although cancer is a pain in the BUTT, but a scary pain in the butt, there are ways to decrease the chances of ever having it. Prevention is best! Remember to eat well and stay active. I know with all that university puts on us, it’s hard to find any time for exercise. I know how you feel! But working out also helps takes the stress off of all the assignments, readings, exams, etc. And you might as well, our tuition pays for the athletics facility and we should make use of it! Eating well is also truly needed. On top of this month being about nutrition and how to prevent cancer, there’s focus on Colorectal Cancer. There has been great advances in research. Check them out here, as well as advice on eating well and staying healthy: http://www.cancer.ca/Canada-wide/About%20us/CW-Awareness%20weeks%20and%20months/March%20is%20Colorectal%20Cancer%20Awareness%20and%20Nutrition%20Month.aspx?sc_lang=en
Till next time, stay awesome! (:
